Challenging items are no problem

Challenging items, such as safes, pianos and grand pianos, must be transported from place to place using the right tools and professional skills in order to avoid injury or damage. Transporting such items is often risky for both people and the objects themselves. When you need to transport safes or other heavy objects, it is best to seek professional assistance. Bathtubs, copiers and safes can be safely transported with the right tools

We use tools intended for the transport of heavy and easily damaged items, so we are able transport valuable items safely to their destination even in challenging conditions. Before the move, we protect items and floor surfaces in a professional manner in order to avoid damage to the location as well as the item being moved.

When transporting and moving heavy and hard-to-move items, consideration must be given to stairs, corridors, the number of floors and elevator capacity, for example. We always plan ahead when transporting safes. If needed, a safe can be carried out through a window. If you wish, we can also bolt the safe in place.

Transporting a piano or grand piano from one place to another

Valuable musical instruments are difficult to transport from one place to another without specialised tools. Pianos are very susceptible to dents and are easily damaged. The surfaces of pianos are usually polyester or lacquered. Repairing these surfaces to their former condition is very challenging and the damaged spot can almost always be seen. In addition, pianos and grand pianos weigh a lot, so it is safest and easiest to leave transport of these items to the professionals.  Challenging items are our speciality, and we transport such items weekly.

Kuljetus ja muutto O. Jylhä has road transport insurance in accordance with the Road Transport Contract Act, which covers damage caused by our personnel to transported goods at €20/kg. We also offer comprehensive insurance for all kinds of transport services. Moving insurance is an affordable and easy option to reduce your own risk if your own insurance does not cover moving damage.
